Introduction
How will you publish and share you creative writing with our community? Using the three final project steps below, you’ll begin by creating new page on your digital portfolio for your creative writing. Next, you’ll continue by creating some customized art fonts for your digital portfolio. Finally, you’ll have the option of taking one of your poems and stories and creating a visual art project.

Step 1: Creating a New Portfolio Page
Ready to share your work with the world -or just a few friends? To celebrate your creative writing and share it with our community, you create a new page on your digital portfolio, titled, “Creative Writing.” Once you click on the video lesson below, you’ll see a quick review of our digital portfolio agreements. If you’ve already completed your digital portfolio steps, then skip to minute 5:10 and click on step 5, “Make a new page.” If you haven’t finished your previous assignment, including your “About the Author” page, then please watch the first five minutes and select the step you left off on.

Step 2: Creating Custom Art Fonts
Ready to add some eye-popping artwork to your digital portfolio? Try adding in some beautiful cursive, movie-style, or medieval fonts! In this instructional video, you’ll learn how to use a free art app (the link is included in the video) and add some design elements to your website that will make it really stand out.

Step 3: Creating a Visual Art Project
For our most advanced and rewarding project step, you’ll have the option to use some visual art to illustrate key lines, imagery, and figurative language from your poem or story. To complete this project, please watch the video tutorial below. Using the step-by-step instructions, you should budget between 45 to 60 minutes for this project. If you add a Google Slideshow with visual art or family photos to your creative writing page, then I will use this as further evidence of your learning to boost your grade. Please note, however, the visuals should enhance the meaning of your writing, be school appropriate, and be relevant to your poem or story.
